I've seen similar questions posted, but they haven't been any help to me. So... I have an Intel D915PBL MB with front panel audio header. But the leads from the audio panel in the case are labelled completely differently. The MB manual and Intel website specs are even slightly different so I combined them. The labels are as follows:
pin1 Port1L/Port E [Port 1] Left Channel
pin2 GND
pin3 Port1R/Port E [Port 1] Right Channel
pin4 Presence#/Presence# (dongle present)
pin5 Port2R/Port F [Port 2] Right Channel
pin6 Sense1_Ret/Port E [Port 1] Sense return (jack detection)
pin7 Sense_send/Port E [Port 1] and Port F [Port 2] Sense send (jack detection)
pin8 Key (No pin)
pin9 Port2L/Port F [Port 2] Left Channel
pin10 Sense2_Ret/Port F [Port 2] Sense return (jack detection)
The Leads from the front panel are labelled as follows:
Speaker Out L
Speaker Out R
Ground
Return L
Return R
Mic IN
Mic Bias
Any ideas what lead goes where...???
Thanks, Jeff
