Hi,

Please provide links to download the correct version of this driver for Fujitsu Lifebook A6120 that came preloaded with vista premium home. I had to reload xp pro on to this laptop since some of the apps we are using does not take vista. Under device manage this is one of the Unknown devices under other devices. I tried intel website and other sites that have drivers with no lucks. Please provide helps if know how to fix this error.

Thanks,

Kevin

You say to tried Intel's site, did you download and install the drivers for your chipset? Intel usually lists chipsets by Northbridge names; so in your case: the Intel 965PM. You should also download the graphics driver for your laptop from Intel: the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.

Vanka25,

I did downloaded the drivers and installed them but none of them seem to work. Not only it did not work, it also disable my usb ports. I've to uninstall and reinstall it again. It look like the Unknown Devices are for the SD, XD cards etc,. However, Fujitsu site did not have those drivers for this laptop. And when I talked to them they told me that since I'm downgrading to XP I'm on my own... Others than those drivers everything else seem to work fine.

Thanks,

Kevin Nguyen

Have you tried a program like Driver Agent which does a free scan of your computer looking for suitable drivers and providing links to them?

What about putting Vista back in and then installing Virtual PC, and installing XP into the virtual machine and running any applications that require XP from that?

Virtual PC 2007

Make older programs run in this version of Windows

I was just at Fujitsu's driver download website and it looks like they have the XP drivers for the SD/xD slots. The driver is called Media Slot. Have you tried installing this driver? If so, it's probably not the card slots.

Vanka25,

I did installed that driver and my SD/xD slots still did not showed up under my computer as a drive letter. Like I mentioned before, everything else seemed to work fine except for 2 unknown devices and my suspect is my media readers. Since, it did not showed up as a drive.

Thanks,

Kevin

To test if it is the media drives or not; insert a memory card into the slot and see if they are recognized. My HP laptop with Vista does not show that it has any card readers installed, but when I insert an SD card it shows up in My Computer (Computer in Vista).

2 unknown devices
expand them in the Device Manager, then look under Details and list the hardware ID's (e.g. PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0193&CC_0300)...

Hey guys, i had this problem as well origonally with a device that would not show its self for a a6120 that i was working on for a client who wanted xp pro instead of vista, and i just found the device in a fujitsu-siemans website by accident. but after testing it for viruses and let windows see if it matched, it did!. maybe you might want to try this. it seems to be another internal system driver similar to the one used for the system extension utility that is provided by fujitsus main support site.

Enjoy!
