Intel ATA error 1

for the longest time, i do not seems to find a way to fix this error, using the WD 120GB with 8MB Cache, and my Windows 2000 Server seems to give me an error every hour after i have the machine running for 4 hours

any one came across this at all ?
 
Have you tried enabling S.M.A.R.T. in the BIOS for the IDE drive? The Intel(R) Ultra ATA Storage Driver takes advantage of S.M.A.R.T., and actively looks for this feature. If disabled, the driver will report the absence of S.M.A.R.T. in the Event log (with the cryptic event ID 16 entry). The request is incorrectly formatted for \Device\Ide\IntelAta0'). When S.M.A.R.T. is enabled, the driver retrieves this information from the BIOS, and no hourly events will occur."

i missed it in the bios, cuz i though my MB is the latest so it should have it turn on automaticly

will see if that gone away, btw the link didn't work
