Instant Messenger vs Net Meeting

We all Have XP.
I was told to set up Net Meeting for everyone, in the process I see Instant Messenger. I did some research and saw that Net Meeting allows 3 to 8 users to use the White board and that Messenger may catch up.
Dose Instant Messenger allow more that two users to use the white board now?
I also know that with either you are exposed to Malacious activity.

Any information about either welcomed.

Sorry I meant Windows Messenger not Instant Messenger that comes with XP.
