Hi all,

VFP70 now delivers InstallShield Express VFP limited edition to create install disks/CDs for distributing your application.
I'm not able to select any Objects/Merger modules, like the VFP runtime library module. The documentation describes that these modules should be available in specific directories where InstallShield looks for. I've done that, but still InstallShield does not show me any Merger Module to select.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any reply.

Gr,
Andre

Ideally they should be in this directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Merge Modules

That should be indeed the place to be, Mike. I've put the merge modules in that directory, also tried the location:

C:\Program Files\InstallShield\InstallShield Express Visual FoxPro Limited Edition\System
C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Modules\i386

None of above path will show me merge modules in InstallShield.

Have you followed the instructions in the help file "Add or Delete Modules in the Gallery" ?

Mike,

Yes, I have followed the instructions.
I've copied the file [Vfp7Runtime.msm] to these directories.

I was able to add a VFP8.0 language module by using the following steps:
[ol][li]Find the merge module I require to add in the c:\program files\merge modules\vfp8rkor.msm && For explample.[/li]
[li]Copy that file to "C:\Program Files\InstallShield\InstallShield Express Visual FoxPro Limited Edition\Modules\i386"[/li]
[li]Re-start Install-Shield and open a project and go to the merge module section and locate the newly added module.[/li][/ol]

If the above steps do not work, I would suggest perhaps a re-installation of InstallShield.

Mike,

I re-installed InstallShield and guess what ... I see the merge modules.

Thanx,
Andre
