Hi All

If I install WinXP home edition over my current Win 2000, will it retain all my other programs and files? Or do I need WinXP update?

Thanks

Guy

I believe you can only upgrade 2000 with XP Pro only. Not to sure though.

comtec17 is correct. Windows Home supports upgrades only from Win98 and ME. Not even Win95 in the official poliicy document is supported, although it does work. Windows XP Pro is supported as an upgrade path from Win2k.
