Hi everyone. I wonder if somebody could help me install win2k on a formatted drive without installing win95/98 first. I have tried changing in my BIOS to make cdrom first boot device but still it doesnt read from the cdrom. Does anybody know a way around this problem or is it only possible to run the win2k installation from win95/98?

ok, it should be ON a formatted disk...silly me

From any Windows 95/98 box, put the Win2k Pro CD in the drive, and type the following (assuming CD-ROM drive d:):

d:\bootdisk\makeboot a:

This will create the boot floppies you can use to install on a blank hard drive.

Hope this helps.
