Installing SQL 7.0

When I try to install SQL 7.0 on a server I get a message stating some thing about ODBC problem. I wish I had the exact message but the server is NT-4.0 sp 6. I checked the SQL driver and its there. Anybody have a clue where I should try to start to solve this.
