Installing Software network wide 1

Please bear with me, as I am a novice to network administration!

I would like to install a particular program throughout the entire network. I know that Windows 2000 Server has RIS, which is mainly for 2000 Pro installations.

What would be the most practical method of installing the application network wide?

Are you using Active Directory? You can assign or publish applications using group policies. This should help with that.

yea if you have AD and an MSI its real simple

I wouldn't be too eager to say it's simple. I do agree it's simple to add an MSI to the GPO's.. hehe. Making them all work is another forum on it's own.

I do have active directory, but it limited in scope. There are a only a handful of 2000/XP computers, the rest are 95,98, and ME.

GPO's sound like a good idea for the handful...any suggestions for the rest?
