I have just got a new system with the motherboard Supermicro mbd-c2sba+ii.

It was installed with win xp 64 and worked ok.

I decided to go back to Win XP pro 32 bit.

I downloaded the SATA drivers from Supermicro and tried reinstalling XP (pre Service Pack 1). At the prompt for additional drivers I pressed F6 and later was asked to select the driver from a list – I selected the Intel ICH9R SATA DRIVER.

However when the first part was over and it asked for a reboot no drives are detected on the boot menue and so the installation cannot continue.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Check in the BIOS if the SATA interface is set to AHCI or if that is disabled...

also see if in the BIOS the HDD's get detected and set the BOOT order with the DRIVE in question as first BOOT device...
