I currently have a serial mouse and I finally got around to buying a PS/2 mouse. I figured with my machine running Windows 2000 it would auto detect it, but that did not happen. I tried using different drivers, but nothing seems to work. The mice are both made by Logitech. What should I do?

First question would be is it plugged into the right port?

How about if you look at the system folder in control panel to see if it finds the mouse driver.

Did it come with any software? Did you install it?

Also check in the BIOS setup if your PS/2 plug is enabled.

Hi !
