Hi there!
I am looking to upgrade my server with a new machine.. How easy is it to install NT 4.0 then migrate all of your user info over?

What type of information are you talking about?

If you are talking about making this a new Primary Domain controller, then is fairly easy. Make new server Backup Domain Controller. Have it synchronize with current Primary, shutdown primary and promote new server.

If you are talking about moving user files from one server to another, then you are looking a little more complications due to you need to make sure the new server has the same security settings as the old one prior to moving the files. If not, and you move the files, then need to check all the new directories/files for their security/share settings prior to letting users access.

Hopefully this helps.

It's not so much the user files I am worried about, it's the actual user accounts and system files..
