Installing new chipset drivers

About to install new 4 in 1 chipset drivers to remedy some errors and problems I keep getting. Last time I did it was a total nightmare, losing my graphics card drivers, and most of my peripherals.

Was I doing something wrong or is this par for the course when you install these things?

I've had great success with them...but I see others on ng's that don't...

You may want to avoid updating the AGP port - choose the Custom install rather than the "Quickly" install...
