Is there an CLS on the 3900 sets that has to be changed to allow a headset adapter? We tried installing an M12 and H51 to a 3904 set, it would not work. It was plugged into the headset location, then they tried plugging into the handset location (the old way). Neither would work, the M12 pins were correct. Any ideas???

Thanks

This may seem like a silly question, but I have to ask anyways. Were there batteries in the M12? Did you have the channel set to 5? You must go through the old handset way. I used a 3904 with a headset 5 years ago when I worked at Nortel.

Thanks and no question is silly. Yes we did have batteries, but I have seen troube tickets where they did not. Thanks

Yes, there are batteries, but you shouldn't need an M12 and H51 - you should use a Polaris headset; plantronics P/N P51 or P51N is what we use; they're Polaris Supra headsets. Plugs directly into the headset jack.

We've never used M12's on 3904's so I'm not sure what channel setting you would use, but it would definitely go in the handset like they used to.
