Installing Java 2 on AIX 5.1

I have AIX 5.1 running java 1.1.8.8. I am having trouble getting it to upgrade to Java 2 and run, for example, programs that call for the swing library. Any help would be most appreciated.

I've been told that for AIX 5.1 you need JDK 1.2.2 with patch 13... Although I have not tried this yet myself. You might want to check out ibm's web site (if you haven't already) and look for those downloads.

what is the difference between sdk and jdk? and why cant i download a version for aix from java.sun.com? does this have to be done from ibm?
