Installing Access 97 over Word 2000

I am a network administrator at a secondary school in East London, U.K. We have a site license for Microsoft Office 97 Professional. We have recently acquired some new computers that come with Windows ME and Word 2000 installed. When we install Office 97 on these machines and try to run MS Access, a message appears stating that there is no license for Access on the computer. We have tried uninstalling Word 2000, but the result is the same.

Is there anything we can do to enable Access 97 to run on these computers? Thank you.
