I'm trying to install a modem. I'm pretty sure it's a 3com/us robotics 56k. Windows 2000 (sp3) doesn't have a driver for it. And i don't know what model the modem is. Isn't there a tool buy Cnet that scans your pc's hardware and give's you a link to the latest driver? does anyone know what it was called as i can't find it! Just incase it's not 3com/ usroboctics!

thanks,

mark

Hi Mark;

Every piece of equipment will have an FCC ID number.
Find this number on your modem and go to:

This will give you the manufacturer. Armed with this you should be able to go to the manufacturers web site and get the latest driver. Just make sure you get the W2K driver.

Ed Please let me know if the suggestion(s) I provide are helpful to you.
