I have a Gigabyte 7XD2 or 7DX2 not sure, the motherboard is not here with me now. I have a new 1.2GB Socket A CPU and 2 128MB DDRAM memory chips. I try to install Win2K and I get the above error message. I it appears right after setup when Windows is suppose to start. I went to the MS Knowledge Base Site. It says it's a Print Server Problem or something like that. I don't have a print server and I'm just building this system. Anyone one know of a possible solution?

Do you mean Boot_Pool_Caller or Bad_Pool_Caller?

Here's the technical lowdown on the Bad_Pool_Caller error:

What this means is that a third-party driver for a hardware device is trying to access something that
1) Doesn't exist
2) It does not have rights to access
3) Did exist, but was cleared by another process

Only the debug text will tell us which driver is causing the problem.

Try building a "base" system - only leaving the video card in. Make sure you have the most up-to-date drivers for the video card, and hope that the issue is not with this card!

Add the remaining devices one by one until the error recurs. If the manufacturer's latest drivers for your device do not cure it, then I can only advise you plague them to get it fixed, buy a certified replacement, or try a different operating system.

I have seen a few instances where this has been caused by diskjuggler. The recommended fix in this case is to update the WinASPI software.

Hope this Helps
