It comes pre-loaded with Vista, but I decided to go with Windows XP instead. Having a really hard time finding a audio driver for this model. Does it even exist? M-1634U. Guys at Gateway were no help.

Installed XP on Gateway M1634u. Can't find Sound Drive! 2

Details. Was less than 10 bucks, and I'm stubborn, and really wanted XP rather than Vista/Win7. I got the stuff yesterday and it works awesome. Thanks for the help, though.

But now you have some USB thing hanging out the side of the laptop right??? Not real neat in terms of portability.
