Installed memory now monitor in standby

Assuming that the system was turned off and the power cord was disconnected when the RAM was installed/uninstalled, then reseat the original RAM.
If no luck, then make sure all other components are fully seated and securely connected.
If they're ok, then it's possible that either the RAM may have been zapped by a static electrical charge, or the MB was damaged.
