Installation Program Problems 1

I have been trying to install Norton Antivirus 2004 and now 2005 with difficulty. During the installation process I encounter the following error:

It Hangs on MSVCRT
Installation Error, Please Retry.

I keep hitting Retry and it goes any further. Eventually I cancel. I have the same problem with Norton Antivirus 2004, Norton Antivirus 2005, Norton Systemworks 2004, and Norton Internet Security 2004 and 2003.

It all hangs on the file MSVCRT and states a installation error. Please Retry or Cancel. I hit Retry and goes no further.

I Also had similar problems with Symantec Act 2003.

I do not know if it symantec program issue or something related to any programs using MSVCRT.dll

I am Using Windows XP SP2.

I look everywhere for Symantec solution, it not exactly friendly find.
