I am tring to install SQL Server 2000(client) and I am getting the following error when I try to open Enterprice manager.

snap-in failed to initialize.
Name: Microsoft SQL Enterprice Manager
CLSID:{00100100-1816-11D0-8EF5-00AA0062C58F}

I installed SQL server 2000 on 4 windows 98 machines, and I had no broblems, but I cannot get it running on windows 2000 professional. Does anybody heard or seen this error before?

I haven't run into this particular problem, but if you're using NTFS you have file security that you didn't have under 98. I'd check to make sure that the identity that SQL server starts under is a member of the administrators group for my Windows 2000 system. And if that didn't work, I'd check for funky permissions on the directories accessed by SQL server.
