Hi

I'm trying to create a suitable default installation using the installation designer but it won't work. I get it to accept settings like "start after installation" and "run autoupdate" etc. but I can't get it include the settings from my client. I've ticked the "export settings" option but it simply won't work. I've tried it from two different clients but to no joy.
Does anyone have any ideas?

You'll need to copy the new .MSI file to the repository in ePO in order for you to use this.

However, if you're NOT using ePO, replace the old .MSI file with the new one and it should automatically use the new settings.

Hi

The package I created was one I intended to be used manual installation, and not for usage via the ePO. I replaced the old MSI and I get it to accept the settings that you can make inte the designer itself (Like run autoupdate during install and start service after installation). I can't however get it to export my VS settings as it used to do. I've tried running it on different machines but no joy.

I am having the same problem getting the AutoUpdate settings to export from my installation to the .MSI file being created by Installation Designer. Have you figured this problem out?
