Hi all,

Can WebIntelligence be installed on a Laptop with Windows 2000 SP4?

Thanks in advance for your input

Josselin

In theory no, but in actuality, yes.

BO requires a server OS in order to run. However, you can run the setup program from the command line this way to get around it: setup.exe /v"IGNORE_PLATFORM_SUPPORT=1"

Hi Skrandel,

Thanks for your input.
I have read the Webi6 installation guide, but I don't understand all concerning the pre-configuration.
What do we have to configue first in a standalone installation with my W2K SP4 Laptop?

Thanks in advance for your help.

WebI wants Win2K SERVER. You also have to have a Web Server installed. IIS is included with Win2K. You also need to have a database. MS Access is NOT sufficient, as WebI won't start with an MS Access repository.

Thanks skrandel for your contribution.

I have installed WebI, but when I launch the WINotify to start up the Web Intelligent Administration, the connection to the cluster manager fails.
