Oh, I was thinking you wanted to be able to run the CD as a boot disk.
Yes, I have a CD that includes a bunch of AV, Anti-spyware, and SysInternal tools on it. I actually keep two versions. One on a CD-RW that I am constantly updating, and one on a CD-R that I burn at least once a month.
I find that the programs, signature updates, etc. are changing so much that I have to keep updating everything. It doesn't pay to burn a CD-R every time something changes. On some days that could be several times a day. By keeping everything on a CD-RW, I can update that and only burn a CD-R when I need to or at least monthly.
One important note, I make certain that the PC I burn the CDs on is as completely clean as humanly possible before I burn either the CD-RW or CD-R.
