Hi all

i am wondering how do you go about installing apps onto netware (is thewre an option like Msoft add remove etc)

I find it easiest to do from my local workstation. Whatever you are trying to install should have complete installation instructions. There are no options like M$ does things (with good reason).

On NW 6.5 the GUI does have an Install option, but I've not used it.

Depends on the app. Some are Windows-only and require a Windows workstation to perform the installation (Groupwise, NDK come to mind). Some installations run on the server, usually Novell products like BorderManager, which uses the X-Windows GUI. Some have a text interface for installation.

The "install" in the GUI, and "remove" in the GUI and NWCONFIG, are used mostly by Novell for components of the NetWare system- edirectory, unix services, iManager and such. Most third-party vendors don't bother with this and supply their own installation.
