Okay, I set up a document using tables and cells. I then Inserted text into one of the tables. However there is plenty of room on the side of this particular table to insert more text of a smaller size. My question is how can I add a cell on the side of the table so I can insert text that way, or simply how can I insert text on the side of the table? As I said I have already inserted text into the center of the table and when I try to draw a new cell DW4 won't let me! How can I get around this? Please don't tell me I have to start over there must be a way! Somebody must know how! Tulsajeff, what do you have to say about this little problem? Or anyone please feel free to add your two cents, I have had this problem before and just started over but I refuse to do it this time! This must be a common design problem when someone is laying out a website and forgets to add a table or cell in a certain spot! What do You do? There just has to be a fix but I can't find it anywhere! (but that doesn't mean it's not out there)

Thank You for your time and any help you can give!

You can click inside the cell and use the split function in the properties panel. It is a button all the way on the left side of the panel I think. It will split your cell into 2 cells instead of 1. You can then highlight your text and drag it to where you want it or just add new text into the new cell.

I hope that is what you need to fix your problem. Tables are a bit tricky and must be well thought out and pre-planned else you will have these little hiccups and will need to have a quick recovery plan in place. Ya' Gotta Love It!:)X-)
