Inserting Sub reports

I am trying to insert a sub report within a sub report but when I click on insert the subreport bit is greyed out. Can't you put a sub report within a sub report?

you cannot nest subreports...not allowed...

One possible workaround is to use shared variables and run the two subreports separately and pass the values back to the main report to display them properly Jim Broadbent
