Hi,

Unfortunately I am new to using MS Access as a means of building a user interface, however, I understand its quick and flexiable.

So my problem is this I have a number of queries and tabs on a form which the user is then required to address and set the values. On clicking save I need to select the data from the form and insert it into a linked table as a new record. In Oracle forms I could do this with my eyes shut hoever in Access thats another story...

If there is anyone who can point me in the right direction I would be grateful.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave
I thought I was the only idiot who could not get this to work, I tried opening the database as another database and table set within the form, but it tells me 'database' and 'Table' are invalid datatypes. I first thought that all I had to do was find out what forms called the linked tables so I could refer to other fields within the table, but the info was nowhere to be found, Then I tried opening other tables or databases, but the datatype error (above) occurred.
Unless anyone can help us I'm going to create the whole form under visual basic.
Hope We Get Lucky
Pete
