Inserting image to Existing PDF

Hi all,

Does any one know how to insert a given image on a existing PDF ? This need to be run from a batch process so I am looking at developement point of view.

I searched on net, have not got a clue yet. Can someone please suggest on this please? I have already wrote program to create PDF using reportlab python. But that library only supports creating PDF and not read or modifiy.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
