Hi,
We are using InoculateIt 6.0 build 6.0.96
The updated drvupdi.exe is installed (downloaded from support.ca.com/...)
Do the following short test and prelase reply me if you have the same problem.
1.On a windows 2000 Professional install a fresh copy of inoculateIT 6.0
2. Install the updated drvupdi.exe
3. On the filesystem you should have NTFS
4. Open a new folder and set to Local Administrator full permissions and put inside EICAR.COM test virus
5. Try to execute the virus
The result shoul be that Reatime stop the execution of the EICAR.COM virus
Now try the following
Create a local user account
1. Log on as the local user
2. Open a new folder and set to Local user full permissions and put inside EICAR.COM test virus
3. Try to execute the virus
The result shoul be that Reatime DON'T stop the execution of the EICAR.COM virus
Also if you have the time try to see if the scheduled scan works on files where permissions are set .
Please i would be glad if you send me an e-mail back, the CA support team says that it's our's problem but i think that it's a common problem
Best regards
