Inkjet Code Download DLL on Lexmark X73 locking up Printer

Greetings and Felicitations,

I am working on a Compaq 5008SR running Windows XP. They are using a Lexmark X73. Everytime we try to print the following task appears in the printer window: Inkjet Code Download DLL. This freezes up the printer until the action is cancelled but you still have to reboot the computer to completely clear the problem. At the same time the black printer cartridge is not printing and will not center so you can remove or change it.

Any help would be appreciated.
