Initio SCSI controller and tape drive not working

Thanks in advance for any responses. I have a NEC server I have upgraded from RH9 to RHES3. Once I reloaded the tape drive ceases to function. I ran lspci and lsmod and dmesg and get strange results.

Now when I do a tar xvf /dev/st0 I get a no such device error. Any idea what the problem is?
