initial pix 501 setup help!!!

first time setup vpn

help had probs setting up pix 501, went through hyperterminal and issued the write erase command and the configure terminal-default command, and reset the pix, now i am unable to connect through the url link to resetup the vpn, the settings on my computer are correct, i am hooked up to the proper port, pix has been reset, thought i would be back at step one. i can still connect through the consoule port but not the 1 port to do setup.
any ideas? help?

the console is the port to setup the PIX. Stop using the PDM and learn CLI. It takes a little longer, but you can do more with it and it translates directly into $$$$.

To solve your problem specifically, it is probably one of the following.

1) Interface IP address is not what you think it is.
2) PDM access is not setup

Everything is erased when you do a write erase. Go through the initial setup using the console cable and configure the PDM settings.
