Can the initial name "NORTEL" in the display of the M3904 be changed?

yes lname option can be change is the cdb, on rls 3 and above you need no additional packages

this would be changed in LD 17 under gate opener PARM. This is the Idle Set Display and you will need the second level(PWD2) to change it.

iS THE IDLE SET DISPLAY ONLY FOR 3904 PHONES?

No. Any digital set with a display, this includes the M2616.
