initial configuration problem

i am running the server configuration wizard and get hung-up when the active directory is being configured'

error:
the network location cannot be reached.

i know basic question, but first run at this server. any help is appreciated.

are you connected to a network or just doing it without any network connection. If you dont have connection to ny network, , do it, and then you will be able to install AD. A+, MCP, CCNA

w2k is being installed on a dell 500sc server. so there is no network at this time.
