Infoview software question

Hi,

I've been using a basic BO setup for a couple of years now (Supervisor, designer, business objects) and another part of my company have decided that they would also like to start using it.

My question is about software, the people pricing the operation have priced for a designed, a supervisor a full end user bundle and several infoview liscences, now i always thought that infoview was only for use with webintelligence, which we don't use (we have no internet information server software on our NT LAN)can anybody shed some light on this???

I've submitted a case but am waiting patiently for a reply ...

Infoview is the lowest level of licensing. ALL users get it. Infoview does not have to be part of WebIntelligence. It is the basic ability to read and refresh a report.

One more thing (while we're on the subject) there's also mention of getting Explorer and Reporter liscences, any idea what the're for? (As you can probably guess, we're having trouble finding any contact details for Business Objects product marketing in the UK)

InfoView = Read/Refresh
Reporter = Create/Edit
Explorer = Drill

Now, you really need to find a reseller who knows what they are doing. The product is no longer sold this way. There are now 2 options. Business Objects Profesional and Business Objects Premium are the only 2 options. Pro includes Designer, Supervisor and Infoview, Premium includes Pro + other stuff like Reporter.

You won't find this on the BO site, but an educated reseller or BO directly should be able to help you.
