Informix onsoctcp ODBC problem

Hello all,

we are having a problem with an Informix ODBC setting which can be descibed as below:

-After the Informix database hangs or goes down on almost all the clients the registry setting PROTOCOL get corrupted. It should be:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Informix\SqlHosts\oltcp_prod]
"PROTOCOL"="onsoctcp"

After the crash/hang it becomes
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Informix\SqlHosts\oltcp_prod]
"PROTOCOL"="ons"

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this problem (now we fic the problem by clicking on a .reg file with the correct protocol setting :( )
