Information Request about Processes

Greetings!

Is there any way to find out exactly what the programs are which are shown in Task Manager under the Processes tab? Some of them are obvious, IExplore.exe for instance... but how do I find out what all the others are? I'm certain there are unnecesary items running in there, but I don't want to shut off the wrong thing.
