I heard a comment on a new form of ram called SVRAM, and has anyone information on this and is it worth waiting for when considering the purchase of a new system? Thanks in advance.
SVRAM is Static Video RAM, and has been around a while. Check out this page on different memory types to get you up to speed (and, hopefully, ahead of the pack!)
Most high end graphic cards, use SGRam and DDR Rams. Also as for PC's system memory the new one out right now is DDR SDram. Though RDRams has some light shed on it since it's P4 boards came out, but it looks like that Intel will be making DDR Boards for it's P4s in the upcomming future, right now DDR ram is not really worth it, since on existing boards, it only has a 5% performance gain, need to wait til they come out with a board with a much faster front side bus.
