If you planning to buy a new PC or PCI USB card which support 2.0 and want to use Win9X/ME for the OS, be carefull to look for the driver support. Many of them doesn't have the support driver. I've searched many info for this.
According to MS, they will not support/provide 2.0 driver for Win9X/ME, so you will not find it in Windows Update
USB 2.0 is fully documented at Intel Site, I've searched from there. Then found out that USB 2.0 driver for Win9X/ME will only be supported (co-worked) by ThirdParty such as Adaptec and OrangeWare. Adaptec only support their own product (go to Adaptec site for the information). While OrangeWare support OEM.
My PC is using SiS chipset, and here is USB 2.0 FAQ from SiS:
So you need to make sure that the product has the driver support. You can find out the information about what vendor that using OrangeWare product or you can buy your own license if you want
