We have an NT6, sp6a box with Exchange 5.5, sp4 on it. Several times during a regular work day, I will have to stop the inetinfo.exe process and restart the web server via the Management Console. If I let the inetinfo.exe process eat up all the memory and processor, eventually it will stop Exchange services and other services on the box. I rarely let that happen since we have several associates at client sites, and they depend on Outlook Web Access for their email.
The only piece of the web server which gets any significant traffic is Outlook Web Access, and since the issue only arises during work hours I assume it is tied to OWA. I have tried using the Microsoft debugging tool and the exception monitor, but since the inetinfo.exe service never actually fails I don't find much use from those tools.
Does anyone have suggestions for how to troubleshoot this issue?? I have uninstalled and reinstalled OWA, applied service packs, applied hotfixes, etc. The issue never seems to go away.
Any help is much appreciated.
