1. System = Windows XP; 512 mg. ram, mucho storage....
2. Have a 30 page document. First 7 text, single column...
Starting page 11 - 14 is 3 col. text listing the name of medical service, name of service provider, Dr. Name, Address, City, Phone #'s and hours. Each line has a SPECIFICLY named (7) style sheets. NO duplicates.

3. This data was extracted from MS Access data files, sorted by medical service type etc. Makes 4 pages. All markup was inserted (style sheets) for each line into text file. The text file was imported into Quark.. with the Get Text command. All works/looks great.
4. Down to page 20 - 21 which is an INDEX.
I created another file - sorted with MS Access that has the Medical Service Specialty line, i.e. Cardiologia Pediatrica - then any additional lines with Dr. names and medical degree. Each line has a SPECIFICLY named style sheet. NO duplicates.
Cardiologia Pediatrica
Agarwal, Poonam – MD
Akbar, Saleem – MD
5. What I want to do is create an INDEX on page 20 that matches the Dr. Names on pages 11 - 14 and inserts relative page # at end of Dr. Name line on page 20 - 21.
All Dr. Names on pages 11 - 14 and pages 20 - 21 are spelled exactly the same. (came from the same data file)
6. Selected Edit>Preference>Index. Entered following into "Between Page Range:" 11-14.
7. Then do the Ctrl-Alt I choice and the index box pops up.
Clicked a couple names from page 20 text and got them to show up in the index.
and that's about it...
I would like to have a reference to a page # 11, 12, 13 or 14 appear after Dr. names below... on page #20. I have no problem creating tabs in style sheets etc.
(3) Specifically named (different than above) style sheets.
Cardiologia Pediatrica
Agarwal, Poonam – MD - - - - -12
Akbar, Saleem – MD - - - - - -11
8. Appreciate any/all help. I have consulted the Quark Help PDF file plus read about lists and indexes in another publication. For sure I'm missing something. WHAT IS IT?
thanks,
madisonPete
