I've noticed a strange message that pops up whenever a user submits a search query in our intranet's search engine.
Our intranet runs on Winnt with IIS. The message that comes up is this: inetinfo.exe entrypoint not found. The full message below that is this:
The procedure entry point ?HTMLESCAPEW@@YGXPBGAAVCVirtualString@@k@z could not be found in the dynamic link library Query.dll
When this happens it effectively freezes our Intranet and the server becomes very sluggish. It remains this way for as long as this message is on the screen of the server. When I reply to the message, it disappears and everything resumes as normal.
I've queries other message boards to no avail. One user on a message board indicated they've tried replacing the query.dll file to no avail. Has anybody running IIS and Index Server seen this?
