Anyone have any insight into this since Avaya stopped support a few years ago.

I understand it has something to do with the date on the kit but past that I don't have a clue.

We have a couple of sites that we don't have engineer access to and a few CPUs that we have no password for at all. Defaulting these would lose any licenses that can't be retrieved anymore from ADI.

Multiple stars would follow!!!!!!

Thanks

doesn't defaulting them leave the licence intact? not played with one for a few years.

take it you've tried the usual 111111, 222222, 333333 etc nmysbh.

do you know who the previous maintainer was i'm sure someone here can shed some light.

Sorry Jamie, but I do not believe that anyone outside old Welwyn Garden City office know how to do this.

But I would try with John T, because Dave B is not there anymore - as you probably know.

Good luck

Jamie. I just found some of our old INDeX serialnumbers and I could retrive the licenses from the ADI site.

Regards Lodde

I'm not sure if we still have ADI access anymore.

I would still love to know how to get into these. We have one big site that we haven't got the engineers password for and nobody has had it for about 11 years!!! I don't know why it didn't get sorted back in the days of WGC doing this, but hey ho!!

I thought this would have got out by now!!!

is there an IPNC card on site with Manager?

perhaps some smart cookie made the IPNC password (use your favourate password revealer) the same as the telnet login!

I know Avaya used a key generator for this.
I have once reset the password on an Index and i needed to call Avaya and they used that key generetor so it is not a password that is used randomly.
You really need that key generator or the background how to generate the key.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

But if you know what it is for a specific date, then that would be the same for all systems and just change the clock!!!! That is what I would have thought someone might know.

That part comes a bit later.
You really need a key generator so that you can change the password.
I am not sure how it went because it is more then a year ago already and i never work on an Index so it did not stick in my brain :)

What is the CPU number?
I could see if i can retrieve the licenses, the backdoor has been closed and locked two years ago and they threw the key away....

Buy IP Office or CM they said.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Not really a specific one, just wondered if this info would ever get out.

I don't know how to crack the passwords beyond V6.1 (if i did i don't think i would have a mortgage any more :) )

but it is interesting that the ADI site will still provide the licenses, & could help if a default is needed.

do swaps still work as well or has that been closed down?

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

License swap and new license generation has been closed for some time now, only a lookup is permitted.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Just need to convince scansource to give us ADI access again. Our old one was via Westcon and is now off.

SS will not do it, we tried, they say it's to protect us from ordering the wrong licences etc..... I know more than they do about the system and what I require.....cheeky buggers :)

At one point they were going to do it for certain partners.

I don't see the issue. Sign a paper that says you will pay for whatever you order and away you go. Westcon do it.

The issue is you can't check on licences for existing keys or for potential customers etc...it's a pain in the bum, like being at school......

[wavey] Miss...Miss.... Can you tell me what licences we have please [wavey]
