A document I was working on started crashing in use. Then it just crashed ID on opening every time. I installed ID on a new machine and it worked just fine. I re-saved the file and tried on the old machine to no avail. The document started crashing when in the middle of working with hyperlinks (cross-document, TOC) if this is any help. Even deleting all hyperlinks on the new machine didn't help matters. My original document was imported from Word. This may also have contained hyperlinks. I have un-installed and re-installed. I can find no defaults or saved data to delete as suggested in other posts either.

I would rather not re-author from scratch so any assistance would be appreciated.

If it worked on another machine, that would lead one to believe that it's probably not the program or the document, but an environment problem on the original machine. A damaged or corrupted font could to this...so could a host of other things.
