Hi

I am running a netware 5.0 server and my data volume needs to be increased i have 6gb free on the disk but only want to increase the volume by 3gb how do i go about increasing the data volume by the require amount rather than the whole 6gb.

Thanks in Advance

Try this:

a) Go into NWCONFIG and into "Standard Disk Options".

b) Go into "NetWare Volume Options" and press Insert. You will be presented with a volume segment list.

c) Choose the free space and press Return on it to select it.

d) Choose "Make this segment part of another volume" and choose the volume you want to add the diskspace to. You will be returned to the volume segment list

e) On the new segment, press return to select it and on the screen that appears, type in the amount of diskspace you wish to allocate in the "Disk Segment Size" box. Press F10 to save changes once complete.

f) Your volume segment list should show you adding extra diskspace to the volume and should also show the remaining free space. Press F10 to save (answer No to the Mount Status screen)
