hi there,

I have one Dell windows 2000 server machine. It has a SCSI hard drive and 2 partitions C, D. I am only left with 700mb of space on c drive. I was wondering if there is a way I can increase the space on c drive by taking some space off from D drive.

Any suggestions???

Thanks in advance

I changed the location of the paging file but it does not make any difference.

How much memory in the server?

Once the new page file is active on the D drive you will need to delete the one from the C drive if it's still there.

This can be accomplished with DriveImage5.

* Take an image of each volume.
* Restore the first volume, but manually adjust HD allocation to a larger size (whatever size you wish).
* Restore the second volume, and manually adjust HD allocation on that as well. Obviously taking all remaining space.

However, be carefule that you leave enough space for the second volume when allocating space for first volume. You don't want to be stuck with the same issue on your second volume!

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!

Thanks, but I have a question I am going to increase the size of the c drive of my web server and OS is also installed on the same drive. The drive is Dynamic. Can I still increase the size manually before restoring D drive.

I haven't any practical experience with dynamic arrays, persay. But, I would say yes on that question because it's done at the sector level.

Hope This Helps,

Good Luck!
