I recently built a new computer. Did a clean install of Vista Business.

While building and installing everything, I had an Intel Core 2 Duo 6300 (1.86) CPU in it. When I put it into service, I upgraded the processor to a 6600 (2.4GHz)

Device manage still shows the 1.86 processor. It their any way to force Vista to upgrade this to show the correct CPU?

I have tried to scan for new hardware, update drivers, etc.

This is not a problem, I'm just curious why it didn't pick up the change. System properties shows it correctly.

Thanks,

Jeff
