I am trying to create an image of a hard drive (WInXPPro) on a desktop machine and send it via TCP/IP-p2p to my Dell Poweredge 2400 server (Win2000 Advanced Server). I created the boot disks in the same version of Ghost, but when I try and run the TCP/IP program in DOS, I get the message, "Slave reported different version of Ghost." How can I get around this? I did select the correct driver for the network card when I created the boot disk (for the server), but when Ghost loads in DOS, sure enough, the copyright dtaes (of Ghost) listed at the top of the screen on the server is different than the version listed on the desktop!

neeboy27,

Try copying just the Ghost executable again, i.e. from the PC on which you used the Ghost Boot Disk Wizard (default location is usually 'C:\Program Files\Symantec\Ghost\ghost.exe') to the Ghost folder on both floppy boot disks (a:\ghost\ghost.exe) and overwrite the exe's with the new copy.
